Connect with Wojciech
We don't just design for our clients – we design with them.
As Vice President of Practice Operations, Wojciech strengthens how Kasian delivers projects, manages performance, and operates as one integrated firm. He focuses on enhancing strategic, financial, and operational priorities across the practice, supporting managing principals and project leaders in informed decision-making.
He has provided strategic design leadership for healthcare and major institutional projects, contributing to every healthcare project in British Columbia and to significant institutional work across Canada.
Wojciech’s international experience includes residential and institutional projects in Italy and Poland, along with the restoration of heritage buildings dating back to the 16th century. His work is grounded in the belief that the final shape of what we build must result from a solid functional plan that incorporates the viewpoints of everyone involved.
Notable projects include the Fairmont Empress Hotel restoration and Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, the YVR Domestic Terminal Pier C expansion and BCIT Aerospace Technology Campus in Vancouver, Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, and Stanton Territorial Hospital. A Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Wojciech places the greatest value on the human outcomes of his work, including moments such as learning that children were finally able to sleep through the night in the new Alberta Children’s Hospital.

We asked, Wojciech Brus answered:
What drew you to architecture?
“I was expected to be a doctor, but architecture offered a different path that allowed me to move beyond the expectations placed upon me. Loving to draw and paint, architecture felt like the most expressive form of engineering. In Poland, where I’m originally from, architects must also qualify as engineers. That integration proved to be an asset hand drawing restoration details for the Empress Hotel to designing complex healthcare environments today.”
What inspires you?
“The expectations of end users and their reaction to the finished project. Hearing people say, ‘It works, and we’re proud of this!’ The process of collaborating with the client and the understanding and connection that is central developing each aspect of the project is a big part of what inspires good design.”
